Full of busy

That’s a term my Grandma would use if you were trying to do tons of things all at once but luckily I had the luxury of a full weekend to do it in.

In the main it’s been a lot of background work on my website after something towards the end of last week put a stop to any plans I had to capture some football games. I had intended to go to Ashton v Trafford for their FA Cup game yesterday, before travelling to Bolton for Bolton Ladies v Hartlepool United Women (HUWFC).

HUWFC are a team I’ve been capturing for the past couple of years, and it has been fun to watch them develop and be involved in some really high scoring games. Their next home game is against Durham on 7 October in the North East Regional Women’s Premier – which I’m hoping to get to. It was a shame to see they lost 3-0 against Bolton Ladies, but I’m sure they’ll have given there all and will learn from the experience.

I’m also planning to attend a non-league game next weekend – it’s not confirmed where I’ll be but will update you as soon as I can. The last game I went to was Chesterfield v Barnet a hard fought test that seems a really long time ago now.

I’ve been looking into affiliate programmes to – these are where I select companies to partner with by adding adverts to my pages. This doesn’t mean my pages will now be overtaken by adverts but is another way of bringing money in, which helps to pay for the equipment I use. And when I remember to, eat!

I’ve started to look at categories which I don’t yet have photos for and planning ways to improve this and get some new pics on to PicJP. Halloween was the first thing to come to mind unsurprisingly – so I’m going to be capturing this event in different ways from people who make halloween items to display around your home to more generic things like carved pumpkins and so on. Before moving on to other things such as fireworks which will hopefully involve some video of displays, and I don’t want to mention the C word in my first blog so I’ll just say that other festival that happens in December for now :).
